If you are an Infinity Group Insurance customer, this is not the only privacy notice that applies to you. As a licensed insurance agency we also provide a separate privacy notice covering nonpublic personal financial information, as required by the Gramm-Leach-Bliley Act and Texas insurance law. That notice governs the information you give us in connection with your policies. See Section 11.
This Privacy Notice explains how Infinity Group Insurance (“Infinity Group Insurance,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) collects, uses, shares, and protects information in connection with www.infinitygroupins.com and any related pages, forms, and features we operate (together, the “Site”).
It applies to information collected through the Site. It does not apply to information collected offline, to the practices of companies we do not own or control, or to the practices of insurance carriers and other third parties whose websites you may reach through links on this Site.
By using the Site, you acknowledge that you have read this Privacy Notice.
We collect information you provide to us directly, information collected automatically when you use the Site, and information we receive from third parties such as insurance carriers, wholesalers, and rating services.
When you request a quote, ask us to review a policy, submit an application, sign up for our newsletter, or otherwise contact us through the Site, you may provide:
To quote, place, and service coverage we may receive information about you from insurance carriers and wholesalers, motor vehicle and loss history reporting services, consumer reporting agencies, inspection companies, and publicly available sources.
You are not required to provide any of this information. If you choose not to, we may be unable to quote, place, or service coverage for you.
When you visit the Site, certain information is collected automatically through cookies and similar technologies, including your IP address, browser type and version, operating system and device type, screen size, referring and exit pages, the pages and content you view, the dates and times of your visits, and how you interact with the Site.
We use these technologies to operate the Site, to remember your preferences, to understand which content is useful, and to measure the performance of the Site. Our current analytics provider is Google Analytics, implemented through Google’s tag on this Site.
Most browsers let you refuse or delete cookies through their settings. Disabling cookies may affect how parts of the Site function. You can control cookies through your browser settings.
Some browsers transmit “Do Not Track” or similar signals. There is no common industry standard for how those signals should be interpreted, and we do not currently respond to them.
We use the information described above to:
We share information only as needed to do the work you have asked us to do and as required by law. Specifically, we may share information with:
We also share information at your direction or with your consent.
We do not sell personal data. We do not share personal data for cross-context behavioral advertising or targeted advertising.
We do not sell sensitive personal data, and we do not process sensitive personal data for any purpose other than providing and servicing the insurance products and services you have asked us for.
We keep information for as long as we need it for the purposes described in this notice and for as long as we are required to keep it under insurance recordkeeping rules, our carrier and errors-and-omissions obligations, and applicable tax and legal requirements. Retention periods for policy and claims records generally extend well beyond the end of a policy term. When information is no longer needed for any of those purposes, we dispose of it securely.
We maintain administrative, technical, and physical safeguards designed to protect the information in our care against unauthorized access, use, alteration, and disclosure. These safeguards are maintained in accordance with the privacy and safeguarding obligations that apply to Texas insurance licensees, which are administered by the Texas Department of Insurance under the Texas Insurance Code and 28 Texas Administrative Code Chapter 22.

The Site contains links to websites operated by insurance carriers, payment providers, and other third parties. Those sites are not controlled by us, and this Privacy Notice does not apply to them. We are not responsible for the content or the privacy practices of any linked site. We encourage you to read the privacy notice of any site you visit.
You may opt out of our marketing emails at any time using the unsubscribe link in any such email, or by contacting us. We will still send you communications necessary to service your policies and accounts.
Certain provisions of the Texas Data Privacy and Security Act do not apply to licensed insurance agencies, because information and entities subject to Title V of the Gramm-Leach-Bliley Act are exempt from that statute. Even where we are not legally required to do so, we will honor the following requests from Texas residents as a matter of practice:
We may be unable to honor a deletion or correction request where the information is subject to insurance or other recordkeeping obligations, is needed to service an in-force policy or an open claim, or is exempt under the Gramm-Leach-Bliley Act. If we decline a request in whole or in part, we will tell you why.
If we deny a request, you may appeal by replying to our response or by contacting us using any method in Section 10 and stating that you are appealing. We will respond in writing within sixty days. If we deny the appeal, we will provide you with a method for contacting the Texas Attorney General to submit a complaint.
Several other states have enacted comprehensive privacy laws granting similar rights. Most of those laws contain exemptions for financial institutions or for data subject to the Gramm-Leach-Bliley Act. If you are a resident of another state and believe you have rights under your state’s law, contact us using the methods in Section 10 and we will respond in accordance with applicable law.
You may use an authorized agent to submit a request on your behalf. We may ask the agent for proof of authorization and may ask you to verify your own identity directly.
You can submit a privacy request in any of the following ways:
So that we can respond, please tell us what you are requesting and give us enough information to locate your records and verify your identity. We will not use information you provide for verification for any other purpose. We do not charge a fee to respond to a request unless it is manifestly unfounded or excessive, and we will tell you before charging one.
Infinity Group Insurance is a licensed insurance agency and therefore a financial institution under the Gramm-Leach-Bliley Act. Insurance licensees are supervised for privacy purposes by the state insurance authority, which in our case is the Texas Department of Insurance, under Chapters 601 and 602 of the Texas Insurance Code and 28 Texas Administrative Code Chapter 22.
Those rules require us to give our customers a separate privacy notice describing how we treat nonpublic personal financial information and, where applicable, nonpublic personal health information. That notice is delivered to customers directly, not through this website.
If you are a customer, that notice governs our handling of the information you provide to us in connection with your insurance. Where this Privacy Notice and our customer privacy notice differ with respect to nonpublic personal information, the customer privacy notice controls. If you would like another copy of it, contact us using any method in Section 10 and we will send one.
The Site is intended for adults and for business use. It is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13 through the Site. If you believe a child has provided us information through the Site, contact us and we will delete it. Information about minors that we receive as part of a household or commercial insurance application is handled under our customer privacy notice described in Section 11.
The Site is operated in the United States and is intended for users located in the United States. We do not offer insurance products or services outside the United States. If you access the Site from outside the United States, you do so on your own initiative, and any information you provide will be transferred to and processed in the United States, where privacy laws may differ from those of your country.
We may update this Privacy Notice from time to time. When we do, we will revise the “Last updated” date at the top of this page. If we make a material change to how we handle information, we will provide additional notice as required by law. Your continued use of the Site after an update means you are aware of the current notice.
